"Five Nights at Freddy's 3" is a horror game that was released on the Steam platform on March 23, 2015. The game players are over 1 million. It was developed by Scott Cawthon and published by Scott Cawthon's company, Scott Games LLC. It takes place after the events of 2 and before 3. When you first start out in Five Nights at Freddy's 3 it can be a bit overwhelming. You do not know what to do or where to go but fear not. The object is to survive five nights in a hotel designed in the image of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza restaurant by avoiding being caught by its animatronic mascots, ''Freddy Fazbear'', '' Bonnie The Bunny'', '' Chica The Chicken'', and the titular character "Foxy". Each night, the player is forced to defend themselves, using a variety of tools such as lights and doors.

One major character is a security guard named "Unknown". He appears in each game mode and will appear on the first night while he walks in front of the front desk. He tells the player that "the kids don't want to play tonight", and then disappears. The player can refer to him as ''The Unknown'', ''The Man'', or just "The Man". There are five total nights: four nights in which the player must survive five full days, and one night in which only four hours must be survived. The player will not receive any bonus points if they survive the final night. The player is not allowed to leave their room without dying; even opening the door will immediately kill them. If the player is caught by an animatronic, they die and must restart the level from the last checkpoint completed, except in Expert Mode where they are allowed to restart before being killed.

So how to play? Start out by selecting New Game from the menu. While you are in the main menu you can see that you have four options: Help, Options, File and Quit. You should choose Help first because it will provide you with an overview of Five Nights at Freddy's 3. Once in the Help menu, select Intro to Story and then Play Tutorial Mob. This will give you an overview of what to do during your first night in Five Nights at Freddy's 3. It is important to read through this section before starting a new game as it tells you what is going on and where to go. After going through the in-game tutorial, you will now have a better understanding of the mechanics in Five Nights at Freddy's 3. You now know that your main objective is to defend yourself from animatronics. Now, choose New Game from the main menu. You are now in front of the camera controls. After you get done looking around at all the cameras you need to start listening for animatronics. They will differ in the sounds you hear while looking at them, but you get used to it over time. While working the night shift, on occasion your co-worker Mike will call you on the phone and tell you what is going on. Mike is an important character in Five Nights at Freddy's 3 as he gives you updates about the animatronics behaviors and tells you when they are getting closer. If any of the animatronics get too close to your office, then there is a chance that they might try to enter through the door.

At first glance, it would seem that this is a game about managing many factors to prevent death. The player must strategically draft outdoors to hide behind, keep their flashlight powered on to scare away the animatronics, and make sure that an area isn't left open for them to be caught by an animatronic; however, this is not entirely true. The game takes place within a universe set up by Scott Cawthon.
